We’re thrilled to share the Hazeley Group Twyford Community Grant outcome for 2024.
After careful deliberation, the panel, comprising Nikki Bream and Amanda Gregory from Hazeley Group, Joanne Everest from Jude’s Ice Cream representing the Park’s tenants, and local residents Roger Walker and Carola Breuning, awarded grants to nine of eleven applicants.
This year’s recipients include:
📚 Twyford St Mary’s C of E Primary School for a new set of thesauruses.
🎨 Twyford Playgroup for educational toys, including outdoor construction bricks.
👩💼 Twyford Ladies Club for monthly meeting costs.
🌍 1st Guides Twyford to enable volunteers to attend an international Girl Guide event.
🌳 Ballard Close Recreation Ground for jet washing.
🛠 Twyford Waterworks Trust for new volunteer hand tools.
📦 Twyford Bowls and Lawn Tennis Club for heavy-duty shelving.
🪑 Twyford Parish Hall for 20 new, comfortable chairs.
🏏 Twyford Cricket Club for junior section equipment.
While we couldn’t meet every request, we are excited to assist the Community Centre CIC through strategic advice on asbestos removal and have encouraged a future application for a new table tennis club.
The panel was inspired by the breadth of community activities supported from early years to active seniors, and we look forward to seeing the impact of these grants throughout 2024.
