Hazeley Group is pleased to announce the reopening of its Community Grant Scheme for 2025, supporting grassroots organisations and local initiatives within its local Parish of Twyford.
Now in its second year, the grant scheme reflects Hazeley Group’s ongoing commitment to being a responsible and engaged neighbour as it delivers the final phase of development at Hazeley Enterprise Park, a growing business hub on the edge of Winchester.
Grants of up to £250 are available to local schools, clubs, charities and community groups. The application process opens today, Monday, 8th September 2025, and will close on Friday, 1 November. Applications will be reviewed by a panel made up of Hazeley representatives, tenants from the Park, and independent local residents. Successful applicants will receive funding in early January 2026.
“We are proud to support the local groups that help Twyford thrive,” said Sarah Andrews, Property Director at Hazeley Group. “The success of last year’s grants showed how even modest funding can have a meaningful impact from primary schools to volunteer-led sports clubs.”
Last year, nine community groups were awarded grants, including:
- Twyford St Mary’s C of E Primary School – for new sets of thesauruses.
- Twyford Playgroup – for outdoor construction toys.
- Twyford Parish Hall – to purchase 20 new chairs.
- 1st Guides Twyford – enabling volunteers to attend an international event.
- Twyford Cricket Club – for junior section equipment.
- Twyford Waterworks Trust – for new tools to support their volunteer programme.
In addition, the panel encouraged a future grant application from a proposed new table tennis club.
The re-opening of the grant scheme coincides with major progress at Hazeley Enterprise Park. One of the most visible changes has been the deconstruction of the site’s historic poultry feed mill, once the largest of its kind in southern England. The eight-week demolition process, carried out by Portsmouth Demolition, was completed with an impressive 98% of materials recycled, including 100% of all metal.
Groundworks for the new phase are due to begin next week, with the first new light industrial and office units expected to be ready for occupation by summer 2026. A café and event space for tenants and the public will also be built, further integrating the Park with the wider Twyford community.
